Tim, Olivia and Fiona stayed with us at the Double Dogleg and we had fun watching Fiona and Harvey play a little bit &#8211; with Trygg joining, too. It&#8217;s amazing how quickly the three kids have grown, and they&#8217;re just getting started!<\/p>\n<p>We went to Ruby Tuesday&#8217;s for lunch on Saturday to celebrate Grandma&#8217;s birthday. She opened presents and we had cake, too, before going back to mom and dad&#8217;s to visit.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/yugflog.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/20140202-125915.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/yugflog.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/20140202-125915.jpg\" alt=\"20140202-125915.jpg\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nBack: Mom, Dad, Barb, Jon, Zach, Taylor, Katy, Chris<br \/>\nFront: Tim, Olivia, Fiona, Jenni, Trygg, Grandma, Lindsey, Harvey<\/p>\n<p>We broke out the VHS tapes in the evening and watched some 1980s family trips and holiday celebrations. We&#8217;re about a generation removed from those experiences now, and watching them is a reminder to seek to live each day as freely as our four, seven, and ten year old selves (wearing a blue wig, in shorts, playing the air drums).<\/p>\n<p>This morning, Lindsey and I hosted brunch. We made quiches and I baked my now famous blueberry coffee cake. :o)<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s always exciting to have the family together. And great that we&#8217;re able to see each other as much as we do, considering the six-hour drive and the many busy lives. Happy Birthday, Grandma.
