Harvey and I were happy to attend Katy’s graduation from NMC on Saturday, May 3, 2014 where she obtained her awesome at nursing degree. Lindsey joined us and the Rogers and Kloosterman’s for dinner at the Old Mission Tavern afterwards where we toasted to Katy’s accomplishment, tried to keep Harvey from finger painting on the art on the walls, and thoroughly enjoyed every dessert on the menu.
Being at a graduation reminded me of how much I enjoy listening to the best college commencement speeches from time to time. Like Steve Jobs at Stanford in 2005:
“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.”
