The Bench

Here are the directions to the Jonkhoff / Rogers bench along the trails of the Old Mission Point Park, one of our favorite hiking locations and where I proposed to Lindsey (although, not right where the bench is). We gave the bench to our parents as a gift at our wedding reception.

Our Second Wedding Anniversary

Lindsey and I celebrated two wonderful years of marriage on June 25th, 2013. I can’t believe how quickly the time has passed since our “big day.” It seems like just yesterday that we were sorting through all of the details of the wedding planning – me a bit too involved!

The suggested gift for a second anniversary gift is cotton. Knowing better than to come home empty hanged, I found a pillow with a depiction of the Old Mission Lighthouse on it, which is near where I proposed.

We also attended a Brandi Carlile music concert at the Interlochen Arts Academy with mom, dad, and Katy. She played for over two hours, and was as good as ever.

Now, onto the third year!

Wedding Week!

Tonight Elke, my exchange sister from the Netherlands will arrive with her husband Jaap, (pronounced YAp), her adorable daughters Rene and Lara and our handsome long lost brother, Sandor! We are so excited to have them in town! Thankfully, I was given this whole week off, and so far, I am busier now than if I would be working! Last minute details are fun though!….until next time…..

Three Weeks!

I can not believe Chris and I will be tying the knot in less than three weeks!!!! It seems like just yesterday it was september and we were hiking out to Lighthouse Point where he proposed! All of the final details are coming together beautifully and I am so excited to see 9 months of planning come to life! I am very much looking forward to seeing all of our friends and meeting some new ones too :) Hope everyone has their dancing shoes ready!
